Diss - Saw Mills Road
High specification factory on the market
Following Hamlin Electronic’s announcement in 2007 of its intention to move part of its manufacturing operations abroad, the company’s modern high-specification production unit in Diss has been put up for sale through Cushman & Wakefield and Roche Chartered Surveyors.
The 64,000 sq ft (5,945 sq m) premises were built in 1995. The property comprises a modern industrial unit with integral offices and ancillary accommodation on a prominent site of 3.7 acres (1.5 hectares). The factory is currently set up to provide a hi-tech climate-controlled production facility but the building is sufficiently versatile to provide clear span warehousing or conventional manufacturing space.
James Allen of Roche commented :
“The availability of the Hamlin Electronics factory provides an opportunity for technology companies seeking a prestige production unit, as well as being equally suitable for warehouse use or more conventional manufacturing. The property also has the potential to be split into more than one unit.”
